The Overcomers Ministry teaches and preaches the Word of God. The teachings of Jesus The Christ is example of how to live in this present world. The Ministry seeks to emphasize that everyone has the ability to overcome the world through the Word of God.

What We Believe
The Redemption of MankindWe believe all people are faced with a sin problem because of the 1st. man’s (Adam’s) willful disobedience to God. As a result of Adam’s fall all people are born in a sinful condition. Redemption is provided only through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. People can be forgiven of their sin only by receiving His forgiveness and accepting Him as Lord. (Genesis 1:26-27; 2:17; 3:6 Romans 5:12-19).
Cardinal Doctrine1. Salvation through Jesus Christ: the supreme sacrifice for sin.2. Divine Healing as provided in Christ’s death. (James 5:14-16)3. The second coming of Christ as He returns for those who have accepted Him. 1 Thess. 4:16; 1 Cor. 15:51-52).4. Baptism in the Holy Spirit for empowering believers. (Acts 1:8; 2:4, 17,18, 38, 39.)
Our Distinctive Doctrine: Baptism in the Holy SpiritThe doctrine which distinguishes the Overcomers Ministry from other churches deals with one of its four cardinal doctrines; the baptism in the Holy Spirit. We believe that baptism in the Holy Spirit gives believers several benefits as indicated in the New Testament. These include:
A. Power to witness and serve others.B. A dedication to the work of God.C. A more intense love for Christ, His Word and the lost.D. The bestowment of certain spiritual gifts., (Acts 1:4, 8, 8: 15-17).
We believe that when the Holy Spirit initially fills the believer, that person will speak in an unknown language as did the 120 believers on the day of Pentecost. The belief in tongues as the initial evidence is unique. While this belief is distinctive it is not more important that other doctrines (Acts 2:4).
Our Primary Message: Salvation Through Faith in ChristOvercomers Ministry is noted for its Pentecostal distinctive, however the primary message of the church is salvation. Jesus Christ willingly gave His life for all mankind so we believe that people can find forgiveness for sin through His sacrifice. Each person can be cleansed from sin and saved from the real and impending hell awaiting the non-believer. By accepting Jesus as Savior and putting Him first in their lives, people are guaranteed an eternal home in heaven. We believe that establishing a relationship with God through Jesus is the central message of Christianity and the key Issue for man today. (Titus 2:11; Romans 10:9,1)
